About me

My musical journey began with a trip to the symphony with my parents at 5 years old. Itzhak Perlman was the guest violinist in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra that night. I remember watching a man in a wheelchair touch every single audience member on a personal level. He was able to put smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes. I fell instantly in love.

The next day I told my parents I wanted to learn to play the violin. As my parents had just purchased a piano for my older sister, I was required to learn piano for one year before being allowed to learn the violin.

One year later, I was playing both piano and violin. I spent my childhood struggling and rejoicing with them both. I was blessed with very good instructors and the opportunity to perform in many different settings.

I started teaching at the young age of 15 to children in the neighborhood. I went on to attend UTD's music education program in Denton, TX.  I continued teaching throughout my adulthood.

This road lead me to where I am today. Blessed, to have the opportunity to pass the gift of music on to others. I look forward to meeting all of you and helping you  on your own musical journey.

“I have been taking piano lessons with Miss Laura for over a year now, and I have seen remarkable progress in my playing. Her patience and dedication to helping me improve have truly made a difference in my musical journey.”

"Enrolling my children in piano and violin lessons was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Miss Laura is incredibly patient and skilled at keeping young learners engaged. My children not only learned how to play beautifully but also gained confidence, discipline, and a deep appreciation for music. It’s amazing to see how much progress they have made in such a short amount of time. I would highly recommend these lessons to any parent looking to introduce their child to the joy of music!"

"As a parent, finding the right music instructor for your children and schedule can be a challenge, especially for military families. Miss Laura was able to meet each of my children at their varying levels using the curriculum we already had. They have made so much progress under her care. We are blessed to have found her."
